Superman: On this day – December 27th

This year, iconic comic book character, Superman celebrates two titanic anniversaries. The first is the 40th anniversary of Superman: The Movie (1978) and the second is the 80th anniversary of the first appearance of Superman (1938). Both are HUGE events.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, the Honcho-SFX blog is presenting a different Superman fact a day!

Yep, 365 facts!

Taking the years 1938 through to 2018, each day the Honcho-SFX blog will serve up a little slice of Superman. So, that’s one fact about Superman or something inspired by Superman, each day, for an entire year covering eight decades of the Man of Steel.

And here’s today’s slice of Superman…

December 27th – On this day in 2016, Slash Film reports news that Black Adam and Superman are to appear in a forthcoming DC Extended Universe movie. The news comes after Henry Cavill posts an image on Instagram of himself and fellow actor, Dwayne Johnson enjoying a drink together. The image is accompanied by the following caption: “Merry Christmas a Happy New Year from Superman and Black Adam @therock. Today we drink like gentleman and come together as friends. We’re excited for what the future brings. #DangerousGentleman #DCWorldsWillCollide #Superman.”
