Formed on Canvey Island in Essex during the mid-70s pub-rock era that preceeded the punk explosion, Dr Feelgood became one of the most popular and exciting live bands on the circuit, with their raw and exhilarating stage show attracting a dedicated army of fans. This popularity resulted in the band acheiving a number one chart position with their live album 'Stupidity' in 1976. The story of Dr Feelgood has now been told in Julien Temple's film Oil City Confidential, against the industrial skyline of Canvey Island.
